Located in the Cantonments area of Accra, it is a significant cultural and historical site dedicated to the legacy of Dr. W.E.B. Du Bois, established in 1985, the centre serves as a memorial, research facility, and tourist attraction. It houses a museum with memorabilia and Dr. Du Bois’s personal library, an Open-Air Theatre for seminars and cultural events, and the Marcus Garvey Guest House. The centre also includes the tombs of Dr. Du Bois and his wife, Shirley Graham Du Bois.

It’s a serene and reflective space that celebrates the ideals of Pan-Africanism and Dr. Du Bois’s contributions to African and global history.
